Thread: Anyone on Voda 6 that can please pass me some info

I need to repoint a domain for someone who has a VH account on Voda 6

I need the server details to be able to do this, but not having any accounts myself on this server I do not have all the details I need.

I know the two server names are ns9.vodahost.com and ns10.vodahost.com but what I don't have are the two ip addresses that go with those.

Please can anyone who has an account on this server please check on their welcome emails and give me these two numbers.

Or M A R I O if you are there???

You may wish to re-check that info......
The IP for Voda6 is not listed as mentioned above, but as 75.126.124.162 (and Dedicated IP's are usually one or two digits off from that).

You can always check the curent IP's, Nameservers, and Logins here you know, since they often change designation with upgrades and additions!

The IP's David mentioned are for Voda9 (70.86.134.194) and Voda11 (70.86.134.195).

Voda 6 is the server name, voda 9 and 10 are the primary and secondary servers. These servers carry a number each as well as a name. To change the domain for my client (who happens to be David anyway) I require the IP's not for voda 6 as per the login page which I already had but for each individual primary and secondary server name within it. (as per the welcome email instructions)
I am presuming David eventually passed me the corret numbers as the domain is now showing a site (albeit a different site to what it should be showing) but that's another story!

Yes, that is correct, and I also understand some Registrars require things be done that way.

* To find out the IP of any server or address (you would type in ns9.vodahost.com, for example), you can always find the tools at www.DNSstuff.com in case you have no-one to share emails with!

The site now coming up is correct and the re-pointing has worked OK
(its a parked domain at the moment-will soon change though - thanks.....

My data was from the start of 2006 so you did good to change them over...
as you said, both sets worked, but it pays to be up to date.
