Have you got your domain name pointing to the server?

As you have just changed over from a .com domain
    to a .ie domain
and if your dns is correct
then you may have to wait for the new domain name to propogate around the www net before you can view it.

And that would also explain why the site map cannot find your new domain name/site.

Well, you say above that you already got a company to do it for you and they said 24 hours. So I presume from this they are repointing it for you?

If not then you can contact them and give them the VH IP addresses they need to repoint. These details will be in your welcome email.

Now that you have purchased your new domain name from Vodahost (and if your account has been reset as previously advised) you can view this visual tutorial on how to change your dns

If you still have a problem with changing your VH dns, then you can always put in a support ticket to the team.

David I don't think Pamela has bought the domain through VH. Correct me if I am wrong Pam.

Given the information in your other thread, I thought that you had purchased your new domain name from VH.

    I apologise for the misunderstanding.

This begs the question about whether or not the .ie domain is now your MAIN DOMAIN or not ?¿

You'll need to email supprt for your welcome email again.

Although, if you can give me some info on what server you are on I might be able to help as I have accounts on most servers.

Can you tell me the IP address (number) that you publish to?

Ok, that's Voda 31, a new server so don't have any accounts on there yet. But if you have the email now then you will have the info on there.

Scroll down to the bit in the email that reads:

Attention!!! - Domain Name - Name server Information (DNS) & Transfer Instructions:

Underneath that will be two name servers (e.g ns1.voda31.com) and 2 ip addresses. some numbers like 75.126.34.23 etc

Send the company both these details.

Sounds to me like they will repoint the domain yes. You have to give it up to 48 hours. Sometimes it takes just 15 minutes.. but as I say it can take longer.
