I will probably put to test the adage that "there are not stupid questions" with this one;
Though your instructions are very clear in Transferring Domains can you share what the advantage (to me or VodaHost) is in doing this?
My domain is registered with ******* and I have changed the name servers to point to Voda. I successfully FTP'd my site and it appears to be working great on your servers.
So...why might it be important to initiate a Domain Transfer? Thanks.

The question of transfering your domain name is only important to you......
Your website is working fine on the VH servers, so you dont have to transfer if you dont want to.
If your domain name is LOCKED(by you) then you still have control..............

Another point.............

Transfer is only necessary if you want to have your payments all done with one provider (VodaHost) instead of having two. It is just a bit easier to manage the financial aspects related to your site/domain name.
