Thread: Additional domain name help needed

I bought the domain la-pi (Dot) com and have created and saved the index page as instructed. I had *******.com point the name to the Vodahost server, and I added on the domain to my main website getpeaceofmind (dot) com.

Now when someone enters la-pi(dot)com into their browser, the correct page shows, but in the browser it shows la-pi(dot)getpeaceofmind(dot)com.

Am I missing something here? Cant I just set it up so that it appears to be an entirely different website? How can I set it up so that when someone puts in la-pi(dot)com it just shows that in the browser?

looks like you have it set up as a sub domain and not an addon domain?

I dont understand how that could be, I did everything right...I think. Any suggestions?

How did you set it up in cpanel? Did you use addon? or subdomain? Or did u just make a folder?

I set it up in Cpanel as an add on. What I see as the new add on is follows:

la-pi(dot.)com (la-pi) [redirect]

When I went to the redirect area for the addon, there is an area below that asks you where to redirect. Automatically it is redirected to la-pi(dot)getpeaceofmind(dot)com. When I change that to la-pi(dot)com, nothing happens. It accepts the instruction, but the browser freezes. I have tried both ways. What should I do?

There should be NO redirect there. Remove redirection.
