Hi. I'm new to the forum and have a basic question. Is it possible to have one account and use two separate domain names i.e. two separate websites? Or do I need two separate accounts? Thanks.

You can have as many domain names as you wish on the one account.

Each additional domain name will be an addon and seperate website.

Hi, you can have as many BV sites as you wish on one account & 1 soho site. But you will have to purchase the extra domain names when needed. These must also be registered in your name, as you cant host friends or others sites on your single account.

Thanks guys. I have purchased two web addresses and want to operate them separately. The old one has been running for a couple of years. the new one I just purchased but haven't figured out how to set up as a separate site using the one bv account. I realise these are probably pretty basic questions but I'm still trying to find my way around.

Thanks David. I've done that. Now I need to know what folders I need to publish into for my new web address. I'll have a look through the video tutorials again...

EDIT: My original domain name is e.g. www.abc.com. I've successfully published to it and the website works fine. I bought a new domain name (www.xyz.com) and need to know how I publish to it. At present, I've managed to somehow publish the index page but it appears as www.abc.com/xyz.com and not as www.xyz.com.

Hi, it might take a few hours for the domain to propagate when newly re-pointing at the server. But you should now have a folder called xyz for the new domain. So you will need to publish to public_html/xyz/ Your 1st page should again be index. You will also have to set up a new folder in your BV folder for the new site to save conflicks with pages of the same name.

To publish to your original and first site, you publish to
public_html
to publish to your second/addon domain/site you publish to
public_html/www.xyz.com

You need to switch back and forth in the publishing dropdown box

Hi David, is this just on new sever IP numbers & what i said above just for older IP address.?
Could possibly do with a note on the main domains link page with some instructions as to which IP's it applies to. Or will it not matter?
