Thread: How can I verify that I pointed a domain name correctly?

I did it yesterday morning, so its been about 36 hours. I know it can take up to 72 hours, but I would like to know that I did it right to begin with...

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the reply. www.hedgehogshow.com is actually the new "temporary" domain name that I bought so I could begin building the site. The "original" domain name is less than 60 days old so I pointed it to this site until I can transfer it.

well.. you can point the other one from where it is. Just make the addon in cpanel, publish your site.. and it will be there.

Transferring wont have an effect on it not showing up correctly, long as its pointed to your voda account

Ok, so I have double-checked the DNS numbers I entered to point the site, did the addon in my cpanel (learned the hard way that cpanel has a really good tutorial and self-populates in IE, but not in Mozilla which is where I usually browse and had originally tried to do the addon), published it, and....nothing. My BV site with hosting is www.hedgehogshow.com, the "pointed" site is www.easternstateshedgehogshow.com. What should I do next?? Thanks, Elizabeth

It has nothing to do with your browsers.

Goto cPanel > Addon Domain >Redirect to URL
