Thread: Addon Domain Question

This is just a general question to try and learn a little more. I apologize if this has been asked before, I looked but could not find an answer.

When an addon domain is created there are 2 folders created, one in the public_html folder and one in the www folder. When files are uploaded, they are published to the public_html folder but it looks like they also go to the www folder.

Why are both are both folders needed? My addon domains work fine, I'm just wondering.

You probably dont need both.. but an addon is technically a subdomain.. so it also creates the subdomain folder. You can safely delete the one you dont need.
