Hello VH users, I have two questions. So the first one is: I bought a new domain two days ago, I emailed vodaSupport and they said that I have to wait 60 days for domain transfer. And they told me to point the domains to VH servers. I did that and I was able to use my domain, upload stuff, make subdomains, emails. So here is the question: What does transfer changes? Can it stay like this, or do I have to transfer that domain to VodaHost? Second question: How can I view AwStats for my new domain? When I go to AwStats, I see my old domain and subdomains + my new domains subdomains, but I can find just the domain. |

Q. 1......... It is entirely up to you, as long as you mantain your VodaHosting account. For me I would prefer to transfer to VH after the 60 mandatory days are up. Q.2...In cPanel just select Awsats and a list will show up with the name of the domains that you have installed. Your new domain if already installed properly should be visible. Just select the magnifying glass aainst your domain name.

I installed everything like it was said in that video tutorial. I have a blog as a subdomain for my new domain, and I can see it in AwStats, but I can find that domain, there are only subdomains. And about that transfer: I paid $7 for my new domain, but if I transfer to VH, will I have to pay VH price ( $20 )? |

Designer, just another angle for you. If you have pointed the domain name to VH Servers then you don't have to do a domain transfer in 60 days if you don't want to. (some people do, some don't - the choice is yours) The way I check to see if an Addon domain has been created is to go into your CP, trundle down and you will see a button called 'addon domains'. Click on it and any addons that you have added (or been added for you) will be shown here.

For my 2c I have my domains all listed at go da dy and have them pointed to the server I am using. This in my opinion simplifies things should you choose to change servers in the future.

| The Awstats is in your cPanel 3rd or 4th row down. Re your Query: VH will do it for you without charge. They will however extend your Domain name registration by another year.

Exactly .... your stats follow the heirarchy of the account structure itself, and you must extrapolate data accordingly. The only other means to have detailed stats for sub-domains and add-on domains is via Google Analytics, which you must manually install. |
