Arrow New domain name vs. add-on without losing posts?

    I have a website

    http://www.mywebsiteworkout.com with Page Rank 1.

    and a blog

    http://mywebsiteworkout.com/personal-finances/ with Page Rank 1.

I read somewhere that the add-on follows the main domain in Page Ranking.

I have more than 650 posts for the blog.

I want to separate the two by having two domain names.

The blog will be on one (separate) domain
and the website remaining at the same domain.

Now without losing the more than 650 posts, how do I have
a second domain name for my blog with the existing posts?

I want both domains to be independent of each other.
I understand the monetary part of it. I have to pay for the
second domain on a separate account.

My biggest concern: I don't want to lose the posts but continue
posting on top of the existing ones on the second domain.

    Please help!

If you search for your website by typing the domain name in, of course you will get No 1 listing as nobody else is allowed to register another domain with the same name.

Try typing SEO or search for the product you are selling?

You will not find your name in the top 10 pages.

Any way just buy a new domain name and add-on to your hosting account.

Then make a full backup of your site from cPanel and when it is ready reinstall in the new site.

You will have to make adjustments to your hypelinks as well.

    Thanks a bunch for responding.

    You say that

"buy a new domain name and add-on to your hosting account."

The new domain would not be in any way connected with the old one.

I want it to be entirely separate domain for the WordPress Blog.

I want to understand the concept before I start doing it. I don't
want to lose my 650+ posts of personal finance.

I want to have two independent domains:

    mywebsiteworkout.com and
    MianConsulting.com

    Thanks again for your help.

You can have a hundred seperate add-on domains if you like using your current hosting account with VodaHost.

You however will be allowed only one cPanel.
The one cPanel will be under the name of the first domain you registered when buying the hosting account with VodaHost.

When an Add-on domain is added, a Folder will automatically created in your "public_html".

This folder is your new website under your new domain name. So when you type "www.newdomain.com" the browser will take you to your new add-on domain which is seperate from the original website.

When you publish to your new domain it will look like this.

    "public_html/newdomain".

    Yes
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Do I have to register the add-on domain that I created last week?

    1. I registered the domain name doablefinance.com at VodaHost.

    2. I received email about Domain Registration Confirmation on August 8
So today is the 4th day.

    3. I added the domain via the domain add-on in voda cpanel.

    4. Redirected the domain to http://www.doablefinance.com/

    5. Using FTP, I see it as www.doablefinance.com under public_html.

    6. When I type in the browser the URL as http://www.doablefinance.com/
it does not show. I have Verizon as ISP and it displays
"Sorry, 'www.doablefinance.com' does not exist or is not available."

    7. What am I missing?
