Thread: Another addon domain question

In the "create addon domain" section in cpanel what do I need to put in the subdomain/ftp username section? The control panel username or the new domain name?

In the create Add-on Domain page on the topmost left corner;

It says "Tutorial"!

Why dont you watch the tutorial which is very clear?

Thanks for the response. I have watch the tutorial - several times in fact and in it has the same name as the domain name for example:

New Domain Name: site1.com
Subdomain/Ftp Username: site1

However, I think I have to put my cpanel log in name in the subdomain box instead.

Please don't assume that I haven't exhusted all possiblities before taking up your precious time. If I am posting on the forum it is because I genuinely need a hand and not a sarcastic response that assumes I am an idiot.

When you add a new ''addon ''domain, the ftp username section should auto populate when you tab down (as you suggested above) ..why what problems are you having?

Thanks DarrenC - the wonderful tech support have sorted it for me.

When I put my cpanel login name in the subdomain name box I got this message: Error from domain wrapper: Domain already exists, it was not added.: hsvqwzpu.lerderderglandscapes.com

So I don't put my cpanel name in that box I put site1 in that box.

You'll have to submit a support ticket to get this done but to be honest its not really necessary.
