Thread: .ie domains

I've just bought a .ie domain.
I had a look at the Voda host tutorials and from my reading I can't host this domain on Voda Host.
Any ideas?

You can leave it where you bought it.

Buy a VodaHost Hosting account and you will be allocated a new cPanel and 2 Servers [shared].

From the cPanel of the Registrar from where you bought your".ie" from, you can point your "yourdomainname.ie"
to the VodaHost Servers.

You will also be given another Domain Name by Voda Host which is free from any registration charges for 12 months which you can use for your 2nd Website.

I forgot to mention that I already have a voda host account. So I assume I can use that?
Great - though I'm almost sure that I read a Tutorial about transferring domain names where voda host gave a list of all the .org' .net's etc that they could host and .ie wasn't on that list.
I'll have to check back.

Hi all,
I've managed to publish the home page of my new addon domain softskillsireland.ie in blue voda. The thing is, I couldn't get it to publish the home page under 'index'. I now find that I can't publish the other pages for this site. This is what I have been trying to do - in the blue voda publishing screen I am putting in the public_html box softskillsireland.ie/about_us
The publisher indicates an error!
I know its rpobably something simple I'm doing wrong, but what should I be doing.
I've searched through Tutorials & other threads to solve this.
My main domain is www.legato.org.uk

Publish your about_us page to just:
public_html/softskillsireland.ie/ or possibly, just
public_html/softskillsireland/
