Thread: free domain name ?

This is probably gonna sound a bit cheeky, but here goes !

I transferred the .com.au name over .... but do I get a free domain name also?

I have a very small site currently hosted on geocities for a social club & thought it would be nice if I could host it on here under the other account.

.com.au domain names cost $140 (AU) for 2 years, which the club would not be able to afford. If it wasn't free - how much would it cost & am I right in thinking the hosting would be free if I put it under the other account ?

I worked out the pricing bit - just need to know if I'm entitled to the first year free now

We do not do transfers for .com.au domain names, the are controlled
and regulated by Canberra, but if you do own one and would like to use
it with a VodaHost account, all you have to do is update your name servers
and point it to us.

Secondly, the ones we provide for free are the ones listed below...

.com / .net / .org / .info / .us/ .biz / .co.uk / .org.uk / .ca /.in /.de

I already have a .com.au domain name
I already have a vodahost account
I have already changed the nameservers to point to vodahost
I want to know if I am entitled to a free .com or whatever (not .com.au) domain name as advertised.

Helen, to qualify for the free domain you needed to use the coupon code freedomain when you signed up for your account. Fortunately, VH is now offering domain registrations for just $2.95 which is quite a bargain. Take a peek here: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/new...names-wow.html
