Does this include the content, page rank and income from affiliations or just the name itself?

It's just the domain.....you can view the Search Value in both the Yahoo! and Google SEO panels (if you have access). The natural search ratio is incredible.

I have been offered an average of 20% more for these domains already, but I know they are rather steep for most VodaLanders, and more of a consideration for serious/savvy online entraprenuers.

I have approximately 71 other domains with natural desirability that I am not using also....but chose to list these first as a test of sorts...
I have 3 ".TV" domains that start at over $10,000, and 1 of them is being considered by a Cable company....

Ok Let me rephrase that. Other than the value of the aged Domain name, Im not connecting the value ratio placed since about 40 variations of your domain name exist for around $8.95. Seems to me the savvy thing would be to buy all those similar ones up to further populate the value of the single domain. Correct me if I am not understanding anything?

That would be a way to do that, sure.
But, you might find that logical combinations, natural spellings, proper form, and preferred wording domains are pretty much all gone......try picking a slick term that is still available in a minimum of 4 complimentary domains.....you will be disappointed.
The old standard was in "swamping" domains, you needed to have at least 10-15 that would be effectual: 1 primary, and 9 re-directed or co-branded.
*This is still do-able if half of your 40 are elevated with paid promotion....but if you had only 10-15 that were all "natural" they still performed better without paid effort. Remember the rules for domains....3 words or less, no symbols, no titles or grammatical anomolys.

Then came the domain speculators...the bas*****!! They automated the whole process and overutilized the $1.99 providers for a long time before ICANN reacted to thwart mass registrations and speculation registration.

The amounts I posted are extrememly fair for the words, the format, and the optimal .com that they are. For example, "Get Married Atlanta" is going into national syndication and needs to change the name for mass appeal AND tie it into their online audience interactive structure, so that is why they are mulling over my ChoiceWedding.TV domain for only $30,000 and another's MyBestWedding.tv for $39,000. We'll know around 1-15.
BTW: Not all my domains involve :choice"....many are extremely desirable, all natural rank, and may yet be usable, but at the speed I am progressing now, I'll probably be 90 before I publish to them! LOLOL

So, friend, are you responding to my listing or merely wringing your hands in frustration? "I don't get it...either" LOL

TheChoiceStore.com is still available at the price listed.

Don't take this the wrong way because I am generally interested...

But what makes a domain name worth such value?

I mean, I understand if many years ago I had been clever or lucky enough to have snapped up a domain name like hewlettpackard.com and then sat and waited for HP to call me and offer me hundreds of thousands for their name back, but do yours hold that kind of value to anyone?

Like I said don't take it the wrong way because if you manage to sell these domains for the prices you want then good for you, I respect and admire that 100%. I just want to understand the basics for your evaluation of what you hold there.

P.S. Please remember I am only hold about 1% of the english language in my vocabulary compared to what you do, so please... no big words in your reply!

Hi all, only keeping an eye on the thread out of intrest. Vasili! What I can’t make out is that I believe you mentioned that you get revenue of about $3000-00 per year from this site/domain. (Or have I read this wrong) If so, why are you selling for such a cheap price?

Good luck with the sale.

Lightbulb Re: TheChoiceStore.com

No, Chris.....I think you are mistaking that for another site -- my affiliate Mall site. But that does bring up a good point: valuation of a website/domain.

Typically, like most business valuation theories, the asking price of an ongoing business is usually 7 times the annual Gross, or 10 times the Net, whichever is greater (for new ownership can generally tweak out a better bottom line via various methods). Regarding an ongoing website, because the consumer trends peak and wane sporadically, the site must demonstrate solid niche or durable recognition to be deemed reliable baseline conversion, and then the valuation is most often 10-15 times the average Net of the previous 3 years (demonstrates positioning and durable revenue stream not dependant on transient traffic or more than 20% of product rotation).

A simple domain is valued according to many different factors, most according to other means to determine worth by means of viability: more and more the practice has been to see current asking rates by the SE's for certain key words and phrases, and how naturally the domain name presents. The factor used most often is 100x the monthly rate of the average between Google, Yahoo, and MSN (the lowest valuation usually) for a combination of no less than three top-ranked words or phrases that the domain will result naturally with.

Then, there is also availability of natural phrases, words, and complimentary aspects in new domain availability. That is the realm of speculation, I suppose, for it is increasingly difficult to find and select real sounding domains nowadays, and somewhere I am sure, there is some aggrivation factor applied. I don't do it, but I know many must.
Single word domains command a premium, and two to three word domains maintain preferred rates likewise. Four words or those with hyphens or other symbols are nothing special anymore, neither are clever spellings or unnatural word forms.

With the only "indices" available to create a framework of "relevance" (there's that concept again! lol) such as the ad schemes and search results that affix a real value thereon, and the sheer speculation in context to natural human habituation with brands and branding efforts, the values can be almost as standardized as possible without allowing personal tweaks to confuse matters.

At least, this is what I have picked up.....things may be different for others, or in a bigger world....I don't know. My valuations are partly the above, but more based on previous serious offers on like-kind. And I surf a lot, keeping tabs on a very large web in many, many areas of interest! LOL
