If you are referring to the ads shown before you point the nameservers to your own hosting, then you get nothing from those ads.

Those pages are only a placeholder. They aren't meant to be there permanently. They go away once you change your nameservers to where you have hosting. I suppose if just wanted to buy a domain name and the only purpose of that domain was to show an ad to vodahost you can just create a website with ads. I don't really see the point but whatever floats your boat...
