how and where in the world can i register a .edu domain name

i have searched for it from months now and can't find a solution

plz help

I'm not sure, at all, but suspect that these may only be available to official educational establishments and could even be controlled by some government body. If you're sruggling that much to find one - that would be my guess.

You've searched for months? I called my friends at Google and they did it for me in seconds. http://www.educause.edu/edudomain/sh...EDUELIGIBILITY

(PS... they also recommended you post your threads in the proper forums.)

quick tips for finding how to register .edu
1) go to Yahoo, MSN or Google and you will see the a field for you to type.
2) type "how to register .edu"
3) press "enter" button on your keyboards.
4) clicking the domains links among the hundred thousands results
5) if you still cannot find it. Go to visit an exisiting edu website and ask them how to register.

Hi, i put in a seach for "edu domain" in Google, Ah! the 1st one to show was

http://www.educause.edu/edudomain/

I must of been lucky
