    Default Paypal question

I received an email today from somebody in Saudia Arabia who wanted to buy my book. This country is not on the paypal list of countries that payment is accepted from. This person has asked if it is possible to pay. Apart from sending a payment in the post, is there anyway I can do this. Been through the paypal help centre and I cannot see any other option.
I actually thought they accepted payment from anywhere in the world, so I have learnt something there.

    Any ideas?

    Regards Paul

    Have you tried:

    http://www.moneybookers.com/app/

    http://www9.wirecard.com/e-payment.h...FSGHMAodc2GscA

    http://www.worldpay.com/uk/

    http://www.nochex.com/

I don't know whether any of these will solve your problem but it's worth checking out, Paul.

And however you take the money - make sure that it's in your account AND CLEARED before you process the order.

Thanks for taking the time out Mandy. Paypal suits my needs 99% of the time, so I don't ant to be adding other options, just yet. This could change though as sales are increasing at a very fast rate. Nochex is similar to paypal but without paypals reputation. I have replied and said the only option was to send a money order/cheque etc....

Thanks for looking out for me Beth. This is something I always do, espcially when payment comes from abroad. I was going to ask anyone, but mainly you Beth as I have seen them on your sites. How do you go about getting a secure payment logo on your page? The ones that make the customer feel safe, I noticed you had one or two on there.

Paul, I have a merchant account - and have the one secure payment logo that they provide me. My cart is Hacker secure - so gets to have the that logo on it.

And, I have ISafeSite - which you can get - if you follow the procedures necessary (one important one is having a privacy policy which is clickable from the home page). You can check them out here: ISafeSite

    Paul,

They DO have cc even in Saudia! Why is it they dont use one? Paypal should accept their visa and master card same as anyone elses.

Do check on your website payment preferences that they can OPT to use a paypal account or pay with their cc.

    Hi Karen,

It seems they don't accept payments from this country. I did check on there list, strange though as I was led to believe it was anywhere in the world. Anyway I sell the book on ebay worldwide also and she was able to purchase it through there, so the problem was solved this way.

    Thanks for your reply
