Thread: custom scripts

Hi to ya all..

OK..i,m after a custom script...what do i do?what does it cost to get one made up?

im bulding a web site where im the 3rd party,,,and the customer is putting his product on my web site so other people can look at his stuff and deal directly with the owner of that product...so basically,,when they put in there information what there looking for,they will will pretty much get everythink they are looking for...

i will have five categories of completelty different stuff,do i need five scripts?

Would this be 5 categories for the 1 client or 1 category for 5 different clients ?

Would not 5 different areas of the same website be able to display/accept input for the different categories?

Are you talking about they'll all be selling different things and the purchase will have to go to their payment system?

Your description isn't quite clear. But if what I just said is true, then they'd each have to have their own separate payment system - if all use paypal, that would be easy, because they'd enter their own paypal information.

However, people on the website are going to be confused and possibly upset if they want to buy different items and can't check them out together.

This is, i beleive, excactly what you are looking for. The client, has different forms on his website, regarding products that others sell. The visitor fills in the form, an email is sent to the site owner, and also to the companies that are advertised on his site. The info is stored in a database, and there is a database interface to allow browsing it. Make sure to make a trial submission, then go in the database to see how the info is listed and how you can manage it.
