I use a combination of CorelDraw, which can do everything you want big time but costs quite a bit, plus Xara Xtreme 4 which is fabulous and not expensive. I do large projects, but Xara would be fine for what you're looking for. Coming in March I'm scheduled to conduct a seminar on using the free Inkscape. I haven't used Inkscape because I'm spoiled wirh Corel and Xara, but it's free and likely will do what you want--Inkscape probably is the most highly regarded among the free drawing program crowd. All three of these have active forums and lots of tutorials. Tom |
