Thread: E-MAIL QUOTA Problem

Hi

i have a problem with reset of quota server space to my e-mails accounts.

i have create e-mails accounts through c-panel.

using this e-mail the disck space (quota) is almost full (9Mb/10Mb)
How can i delete the old e-mails from the server to reset the quota to 0 ?
(accessing my e-mails through c-panel/web i totally delete all the e-mails, but the quota continue to increase)

Is there any way when i take my e-mails from MOutlook, automaticly deleted from server. (i dont want to keep them in the server) ????

Just delete the account and recreate it. This will clear it out.

I have already set up my e-mails account to MOutlook and works perfect.

My question was if there is any way to set up my e-mails (from Cpanel), so when i take them from Outoolk, automaticly deleted from server, so i don;t have to check also always the quota and delete and recreate my e-mails accounts.

YES, if you use outlook they will be deleted from the server as soon as you download them.

Yes i understand that. I check it and it is like this.

But my problem is that even if i download them from Outlook and in the web server does not look to exist, the "quota" continue to increase.

By this way, even if i download all my e-mails from Outlook and my "inbox" folder in Webmail is always empty, the "quota" continue to increase.

That means that i have to check periodicly the :quota" and when is close to limits, i must delete it and recreated to reset it to "0".
This is imposssible if i have to manage more than 80 e-mail accounts.

I would appreciate your help to the above.

I have no idea what your talking about. When you download them via Oulook they are gone, when there gone there gone.

I mean that i'm log in to my Cpanel then Mail then Add/Manage.../ and it displays all my e-mail accounts.
Then i click at the bottom the link " Show Disk space usage" and display all my accounts again with 2 more columns: "disk used" and "Quota".

At these columns it looks disk usage 7.8 M and Quota 10 (by default, or whatever i have set up).
the problem is that in the web mail inbox or anywere else in my server are not any e-mails.

Sorry for misunderstand, i try to discribe it as easy as i can.

Don't worry about it, delete the account and recreate it and it will go back to 0.
