Thread: Sending E-mail Failure - PLS HELP

Hi guys,

a week ago I removed my web client from my computer which is Incredimail, now I need it again, I reinstall it, so, I can still receive e-mails, but can't send, I get the following error message : failed to connect to the outgoing server :'mail.mydomain.com' please try again later

I've tried and tried, but nothing, I even removed all the e-mail accounts, and add them again but nothing.

does it have anything to do if relocating to another country? or new internet provider?

Most likely. They may require you to use their server to send mail, so you would need to look up their protocols. Probably something like,

smtp.yourprovider.com

I don't think so, it was working perfectly before.

I am surprised that you use incredimail really, I have only ever heard nightmares about this ... I would say this could be part of this, but would agree with Karen, you would need to set up the smtp

yeah you are right guys, but still have a question:

1 - the smtp authentication username and password are the same main user name and pass of the account? I mean the ones we publish with and enter to our cPanel?

2 - What would you recommend as web client LadyEye?

I am in wee little Canada here, lol ... but for my mail client I use my internet service provider, and I use outlook express. This means they take care of it all, from the spam side as well. Any spam I receive, I forward to them and they stop it, so that it does not come into my mail at all. Great benefit! I am not sure what is available on your side of the world, but I sort of put all my stock into one who will take care of everything. I then can filter from any outside email systems (yahoo, hotmail, etc.), just what I want to receive in my inbox too.

Thanks EyeLady, but I feel comfy in incredimail, I had some trouble with Outlook so I gave it up, my internet service provider? noway, I guess you heard about the australian restrictions before no? I receive some confidential stuff that I would really keep away from other eyes LadyEye

mail.mydomain.com' is wrong use your actual domain name.

I couldnt use, for instance: mail.grannyscountrynook.com

I had to use smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com for my outgoing to work. Nothing I did worked other than that.

Now on dial up it worked, but dont ask me why. With this wireless thing.. thats how it has to go thru the network unless i actually sign into horde.

of course I used my actual domain name, mydomain.com was an example.
