Thread: outgoing not working(was working before)

when I try and send outgoing e-mail from outlook, I get the following messages. (These are all e-mails which are actually replies to inbound e-mails.)
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: RE:
Sent: 1/27/2007 10:30 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'joe name' on 1/27/2007 10:30 PM
503 No recipient(s).

I have run test through outlook and the e-mails go through. Any suggestion as to how to fix it.

Are you trying to reply to "spam" emails - where it's possible the email address of the sender isn't even real? Can you send out-going emails to an account you know is working - like your own?

The e-mails are response to ads for employees. They are to info@ or myname@mysite.com on BV.

They are automatically forwarded to my outlook.
When I respond, I receive the error message. Thye are not spam and typically are hotmail, yahoo, and sometimes company e-mail addresses.

You didn't answer my question - can you send emails out to other email addresses?

I checked and it is not on any blacklist. I was able to send the e-mails before, but only recently have I been getting these error messages.
The only changes I have made recently were I updated my subscription for symantec. I also recently had a large number (5of e-mails which Never actually loaded...and i never received. it just kept timing out.

Another thing I noticed is about half the e-mails come in have a little phone icon next to them,(in outlook) when i try to open, it says download from server, download and delete and 2 other options. When i tick something, I still can't open them.

Check with your isp, MAYBE they changed there mail settings.

And make sure you didn't block anything in Symantec with the update. That's happened before.
