Thread: Problems with outgoing mail

Hi I get this error message when trying to send mail:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Pride web traffic', Server: 'mail.prideadelaide.org', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

As far as I can see, all my settings are correct.

Can anyone offer advice ?

Something is not correct...Go through the check list....

1) Control panel set up
2) password corect
3) SMTP & POP correct
4) etc.....

I am receiving the same kind of info yet allmi information from my booking pageis still coming through.
1. when it asks for your pop in and outgoing i have put in here mail.golfandgamesafaris.com should it be @ rather than .?
2.whenit asks for your internet provider address, I am not sure what to put here. is it my hotmail address or my vodahost email address ?

Hi Westi ,
1. "." is correct.
2. When you are setting up your Vodahost account email, you put in the Voda details. When you are setting up your hormail account (if you have to) , you put in there your hotmail account. Though I heard hotmail will now on allow access to your hotmail inbox through Outlook Express only if you sign up for a paid account with them.

The message you receive is usually a bad connection.
