Thread: Email?

Hi,

I seem to be receiving junk mail from various sites, not unusual. However, the address in which it appears to be sent from is my own. Anyone know what might be going on?

Some spammer is forging your email address.

How would that then effect me? How do they forge my email address? What can I do to stop it?

Any email can be sent out to whomever they want with the sender being whoever they want. Its a spammer, most likly trying to save them selves a few bytes of system resources so they don't have to generate a fake email address, they are just using the same as whom they are sending to. I wouldn't think to much into it, mainly because theres not much you can do about it
