    Talking Outlook Setup

    Moderated .

I've spent hours and hours trying to get Microsoft Outlook 2003 to work and I cant. I changed the control panel and did the tutorials. I continue to get an error message below:

Task 'Work - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I cant figure out what Im doing wrong.

Its telling you to contact your INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER (ISP).. how do you connect to the internet.. that error refers to them not letting you have access to their server to send mail thru outlook.

Hi Serenity! I couldn't help but notice your Post title and felt maybe a little information for you would help.

You have asked a ton of questions on this forum which is WONDERFUL! That is the best way to learn. But I'm not so sure that you are seeing all the answers. When a post is answered for you, you have not responded to many of them, so I'm wondering if you know how to find all of your posts. So...one way to do this, is to click on your name in your post. A drop down menu will appear and one of the choices is "Find all Posts". If you click on that, you will find all of your posts and most of them with answers or questions in order to further try and help you. After you get your answer, it would be nice if you could acknowledge that you read the answer, understand or even that it helped or didn't. That way, those of us who come to the forum to help others, know that we are being of service to you.

Also, it may be nice to know, that most of the people on this forum have started from scratch, just like you, have spent a lot of time, getting to know BlueVoda and other webuilding techniques and come here only to help others through the process. Most of us are not employees, nor are we paid. We do this strictly on a volunteer basis to help you succeed. The reason I bring this up, is that we have people from all over the world coming to this forum all different hours day and night. So please be patient and someone will address your questions as soon as they can.

One more piece of advice. I know you have viewed many of the tutorials, but I would also recommend using the search function above to search the entire forum. You need to play with the words a little in your search, but most of the time you can find many of answers, just by looking at other threads.

The title of this particular thread you started, doesn't even have anything to do with Vodahost or Bluevoda. It has to do with your ISP. You need to check with them to find out how you need to set up your outgoing mail server (SMTP). I know I use Outlook Express and I have the incoming server set up as instructed by Vodahost, but my Outgoing mail is set up through my ISP.

Most of all enjoy building your website and have some fun!

    Dear Serenityenterprises,

I have exactly the same problem as you have. Could you manage in the meanwhile to sort out the problem? If yes, please advise, because I have now spend HOURS and can't manage to download my emails in Outlook 2002.

    Regards,
    Hennie
