    hi there

    could anyone tell me what the following means in outlook express

    The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'blue rovers', Server: 'mail.bluerovers.co.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

    the e-mail account had been working up until 2 hours ago.

    should i contact vodahost or my isp?

    Looks like your ISP might be blocking your port 25, click the below and read the trouble shooting section about port 25....

    I had posted an email on the forum about port 25 awhile back for Kiwis here is what to do
    I take it you are using xtra

    Opting out of port 25 filtering

    PLEASE NOTE: After successfully opting out, you will need to restart your Broadband modem. To do this, please remove the black power cable from the back of the modem and wait until all the lights are out then replace the cable. You will need to wait until the lights on your modem come back on before trying your internet connection again.
    If you wish to apply to opt out of Port 25 Filtering please

    To opt back in at any time simply follow this same link. Remember you will need to re-boot you're your modem in order for the change to take effect.
