Is it possible to configure a portable device to receive and send emails?

. I've used the addresses:- POP (INCOMING EMAIL) SERVER mail.calmsolutions.ch SMTP (OUTGOING EMAIL) SERVER mail.calmsolutions.ch using port 25 for outgoing, I only get 'mail.calmsolutions.ch' not responding.

Any ideas
