Thread: port 25 blocked for residential internet

I have contacted my service provider and they have told me unless I switch to a business internet line I would not be able to configure my personal home email in order to receive emails from vodahost email account i have tried to change the outgoing to mail.cogeco.ca but it still won't detect the server due to residential lines block port 25. is there any possible way around this..all help would be apprieciated

Only way to know would be to know what PORT they are using.
