Thread: Outlook error message for incoming mail

My website was temporarily down due to having an outstanding bill with VodaHost (unintentional!). During that time, I was unable to pull down email through Outlook, and also the cpanel showed no email.

Now the site is back up, but I still get an error in Outlook stating it's unable to connect to the incoming pop3.

I have sent several test emails from my yahoo account, but they don't come through.

I went back over the tutorial, and then meticulously went through my account in Outlook, and found the problem: the smtp authentication box wasn't checked. Hope this helps someone else.
