Thread: Help please 'how to get my password from email accounts'

Hi, I already have email accounts set up which has the password saved. I am trying to add another email and it is requesting my password. I have tried every password I thought I had but seems not the right ones. I did have all my passwords saved in document which has disappeared. Either myself or one of my little ones has accidently deleted it. Any way I am able to get into the password? Thanks heaps, Leanne

This looks like a case of submitting a ticket to the help desk........

In the meantime you could always create a new email account.

Oh David you poor thing, you are getting all of my problems at the moment. All of my current emails are fine because they have the password saved against them. My problem is creating a new email account for the website that you have already been helping me with. It is prompting me for a password which I have no idea what it is. I found something on Google which was about Opening email client, change the incoming pop3 to 127.0.0.1 for all accounts, confirm changes, go online & send/receive email - apparently password should appear in window and then change everything back. Sadly this process did not show any password. I was hoping there was another way.

In this case, I cannot help you as I only use a yahoo mail account
but I am sure that another member will step in to help you out.

The only way now is to submit a ticket to have your password reset as David first mentioned. There is no other way, bar you finding or remembering your original one.

There is a way because I found them by downloading OPRES setup. It gives you the first 2 letters of the words - turns out I have 2 different passwords which I tried when setting up my email but I am still being rejected. The system is telling me that I have establish network connection, found outgoing and incoming however no good with log onto incoming mail server. I then get a message outlook could not connect to the incoming pop3 mail server because the server did not accept your username or password.
I changed one of my email address couple of weeks ago without an issue so it has got me puzzled why it won't work this week.

Just delete and recreate the account with a new password

you don't have to use the same password for every email account....
