Thread: E-mails from Visitors Returned

When site visitors send an email through the Contact Us page on my site, they get it back with a "mailer daemon" notice. The only way I can see this mail is in webmail which shows this notice. This part of my set-up has never worked and I can't find the reason in the posts nor the tutorials which I have read so many times I almost can recite them! I'm really not a "techie" so I'm sure somewhere I have failed to set this up properly.
My domain name is www.arlenegreenportraits.com.

Did you by any chance use a mail forwarder? at some point. Check and make sure. Ive seen this happen I dont know how many times.

No.. but if you have at some point.. that will muck the system up.. even if you delete and re create the email account. If that forwarder is still active in the system that isnt deleted ..it stays active until you remove it.

That may be the problem. Do I remove it in c-panel? (By the way, I identify with your line about natural stupidity!)

I did have a forwarder but have deleted it in c-panel. So far it hasn't solved the problem. Any other ideas?

delete and recreate the account.. now that the forwarder is no longer there.

Your form also has errors in it. Your text for one is over the top of your refer a friend box.. and your email address area needs to be named just email not email address. The text box can say whatever but that form section is what needs to be just email.

Failed! I don't even see a "refer a friend" box on this site. As for the email problem--I did what I thought was correct to re-create the account. Problem not solved. I no longer find the same tutorials on emails in BV. I can't edit the page. Can I download the BV website builder anew without messing up the whole thing?

Im sorry.. i think its supposed to be how they found you.. looks like it says referred by friend.. but theres a text box on it too that says something i cant read. Its on your contact page. I assume thats the form you were referring to.

Yes you can download the BV builder but im not sure that will solve your problem.

Guess I'm beating a dead horse here. How can I just delete the whole contact page and start over? Could that solve the problem?

Maybe...in cpanel use the file manager.. delete the contact page in public_html

Remake the page in bv and try that.
