Thread: Just can't get email in outlook express to work

I have tried over and over again to configure Outlook Exp. I have set up an AOL account since that is my ISP, I have manually configured, allowed BV to configure- still problems. I, at least, have been able to receive mail when I send from my aol. acct., but am totally unable to reply or send any mail. I have gotten so frustrated Im tempted to just create new aol email for this domain, which would be really unprofessional. Could all of you take a moment and see what you think would solve this issue?

Below are the last messages I received from two of the domain accounts.

You need to change your outgoing server to those of your ISP

In your case AOL

Have you tried smtp.aol.com?

I followed Microsoft's instructions for Outlook Express, tried advise from AOL- and still no emails can be sent.

The Outgoing mail (according to MS andAOL) should be SMTP.aol.com

Is there anyone in this world who really knows how to configure a POP3 account?
Also, my emails are showing up in the search engine as part of my page????? The site does not come in,buit the unfinished site map and my forum questions do, What in the world is causing that?

outgoing for aol should be as above smtp.aol.com

at the bottom, my server requires authentication, tick that and the next screen put in your aol user and password

on the advanced tab change your OUTGOING server to 587 incoming 110

Then you should be good to go
