Hi I watched the video several times, read the post several times, and tried the samples, several times. Trouble is, I want IMAP in Outlook 2003, not POP3. I did the manual configuration (several times with different configurations) but still cannot get it to work. Is there a step-by-step for this? Thanks Millie www.subeagle.com |

BTW your voda email is POP3. Imap is usually used for SHARED servers like newsletters, forums, boards etc..allows you to get posts as tho they were email. Karen

Its done, POP3 on Outlook 2003 the significants are: Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.mydomain.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.myprovider.com username: myname+mydomain.com (note the + instead of the @) In the outgoing server after selecting the 'more settings' button, I selected the 'My outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication', then I selected 'log on using', then I entered the username and password that I use for my provider email (the tutorial said select 'use same setting ...' but since my input for the outgoing server is my provider, I had to select 'log on using'. It is not ideal because both my mail from my provider and from my voda email are received in the same folder. I have to find a way in Outlook to direct my voda mail to its own folder. In my previous setting using imap, my bv mail goes to its own folder. Thanks Karen, anyone knowhow to do the above in Outlook 2003? |
