Thread: GOdaddddy issues with email

I had just my emails working fine through godaddddy. (my voda website wasnt built yet). I then bought voda and my site it up perfect (I had to goto godaddddy and change the name servers) but now my emails arent working. I called godaddddy and they weren't much help. They said I needed to go to voda and change the mx something or another. Can anyone help?

You do NOT need to change any MX Records --- this is something you should avoid doing yourself .... it has nothing to do with setting up email, and is too complicated a task for the beginner. (and GD knows this!)

Now that your domain at GD has the proper Nameservers configured to point to your hosting account at VodaHost (NS1 and NS2 on Voda14), you no longer have email functionality from GD but should now go into your VodaHost Control Panel and create email addresses accordingly by selecting the Email Accounts icon: email addresses associated with any domain is possible only as a root server function, or in other words, since the domain is now hosted at VodaHost, you need to create them anew since the site is hosted on a "new" server (at VodaHost).
