This is my first post, but when switching to Voda from Yahoo I left my email there so as not to lose 2 days worth of emails. The biggest problem I had with the new site was the forms would say success and give you the success page - email would disapear. I couldnt find another forum about it, but if you find yourself in the same boat the answer was simple. Go to control panel to MX exchange and change the server name to bizmail.yahoo.com, I assume you change it to any server other than yahoo. The emails that were showing success were being sent to the default email in the Vodhost CP. Maybe a couple of you more skilled voda users could chime in on how that works with other 3rd party emails and save the next newbie the two hours of frustration I had.

Hello,

I have an email form on a website that works fine, but. I would like to be able to send an auto response to people that submit the form and dont know how to do this. If I directly send an email to the address used in the form the auto responder works just fine. But it doesnt through the form.

The domain email is set up through GMAIL and not through the cpanel. It still uses the domain email address. I also use outlook express to check mail and dont sign on through Google. I have the auto responder set up in GMAIL and not outlook express because I cant find a way to only use it with one email address in outlook and of course have many addresses there.

I could use any suggestions or advice please.

The web form is at www.raceteamsponsor.com/apply2.php

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I am due to start creating a website for a client due to own a domain name with .ie in the end which I know Vodahost cannot host but I could point my nameserver to the domain company. Anyway it occurred to me that my client would like to have an email address including his business name for example
info@dubli................ie

Question is do I set up a POP in the CP as per video and then find out which email server client uses ie outlook express, etc etc or is it something else. I noticed that when one sign up for a domain name they can choose to include an email address option to go with it or not. I am unsure how this works. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
I've also heard that you can set it up to run through gmail. Thought that would be nice incase I needed my hubby to check it.
Is it smarter to set it up through gmail or just to run it straight through the phone? (for ease of use)
and how would I do that?
and please keep things simple for the simple mind here! thanks
