Thread: Form problems

Helo..My form isn't coming up when the "volunteer" link button is clicked on: www.redtractorfarm.com/volunteer.html

The actual form is at www.redtractorfarm.com/volunteerform.html but for some reason it is not linking. I want responses from this form to be sent directly to my gmail account. I tested the form and I didn't recieve the mail.

You have missed the ".html" at the end of the link, so it's not linking.

Oh, and you should name your pages, most of them are named "index"

I have seen that the .html is missing but when I go back to my BV page it is written there. I'll try again. Thanks for the tip about renaming my pages. Do you have any other suggestions about my site in general. I haven't had much time to work on the site so there isn't much to it yet.

Alright, I remade the volunteer button from the beginning and now it's working. My BIG question is this: where does mail sent on my domain name go? I have read the tutorials-maybe I'm just having a braindead day-but I can't figure out if it is possible to have marciemayer@redtractorfarm.com mail go directly to marciemayer******.com
If this is possible please point me in the right direction....ND are you Greek?

Yes, i'm Greek, from Athens, but i live in Italy.

Your email can go straight forward to your gmail address , but you need to place that in the script that processes your form (action.php). If you wish you can send me the action.bvp file as attached file in my form. Or, you can install ABVFP to process your form.

I'd rather send it to you if you have the time to fix it. Don't think I can face another tutorial today. Tell me if I need to change anything in my cpanel. I have set up an account marciemayer@redtractor.com and I have directed mail from that acount to marciemayer******.com but hen I fill out a test form nothing is recieved anyhere.

The 'my form' link in your post is not working.

On my action.bvp I went to HTML properties, under Inside Body Tag I have: $email=marciemayer******.com
$mailto="volunteer"
Is this right?

$mailto = "yourgmailaddress";

as you see it.

the $email line should be left as it was originaly in the tutorial, only the "$email", the address is the one of your visitor and it's grabbed by the form
