Default Do forms have to be submitted via email?

Hi all

I will try to explain myself here!

When the form on my site webuynationwide.co.uk is submitted, it comes through via the clients email account. Im a bit concerned as this could penalise people who dont use outlook, or have problems with their email setup. I just wanted to ask, is there any way to have the form submitted to you without using the clients email?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help

Cheers

Sally

You can use a database to store all the information submitted by the form.

There might be a free script on hotscripts.com that does this.

If you have used the mailto: as your form action, this is true. If instead you use a php script to process your form, the mail doesn't come through the client's email account, it comes through your own mailserver. So it is ok.
In fact, this is one of the very known problems with using the mailto: as action for forms. The mail can or can not be sent, depending on the users email client settings, and it is noted in BV Form Tutorial nr 1.
