Thread: 404 error message

Hi,
Have read and gone over multiple posts and tutorials and I am stuck.

hit send then 404 error

More info...action.php is not in the file in my control panel...cannot figure how to get it there.

action.php is a file that YOU must create . It is not necessary to name it action.php, you can name it thankyou.php or confirm.php or whatever else you like. The important thing is that the form "action" must be excactly the same as the name of this "action" page.

All the same...What's wrong?

Change your ThankYou.php to action.php and then publish.

Or, viceversa, change the form action to be "ThankYou.php", save and republish.

Ok now when I hit the submit button...the form is cleared and nothing is sent.

You are NOT following the instructions. You have been instructed to change the form action to be ThankYou.php but you have chanced it to BVSReferral.php . Then, delete this last, you DON'T need TWO form pages. You can also delete the page ThankYou.html and only keep the ThankYou.php

Please make the required changes, and test again. Then, if it still doesn't work, post again.
