Thread: Need help

Hi I have had BV for about 2-3 months and I am running a site for a computer game that is for all ages and we have the forums up and running and everything has been running great!!! Unfortanatly we have some idiots creating bogas user name's and posting porn all over it and there are verry young kids that may veiw this I would like to find a way to stop this The only thing i could think of is makeing it were i have to actavate every account with would be big pain for me So im posting here to see if anyone has a better idea or sugetions thanks

I don't know which forum software you have but go to the website of developers. Most have a database of modifications you can install..

I would recommend installing a better captcha, perhaps a humanizer, and even a mod to prevent people from posting links or images until they have x number of posts. I know there is a mod for vb that will place a post in a moderation queue if it contains a word you specify so you can read through the post before it appears on the site.
