Thread: "chmod" WHAT DOES IT MEAN???

Could someone, please, tell me what does "CHMOD" means?

I am just install Form Marker but when I try to install I receiving this error message:

Hi, it gives you or others permissions (program allowing) to read the files or write to them & a few other bit & bobs. Its a bit like a man on the gate telling the program what it can & cant do.
