Thread: A few problems with my form

Very frustrating!!! Here is a link http://www.allstarwash.com/request.php

1st problem: Everything works, no errors, but when I check my email, few items are missing (Name, Daytime Phone, Fax, and BOTH text forms)

2nd problem: The tab order is all out of whack! If I start with the Name field, I would like the visitor to be able to "tab" to the next field.

3rd problem: This may be related to problem #2. When I check my mail, the info listed is in no particular order, which makes it hard to read.

Thanks in advance for your help. I NEED to get this fixed TODAY!

I have changed my encoding,I now get my text blocks to me email.

Still having problems with a few items missing (Name, Day Phone, Fax)

And the "Tab Order" problem.

I'm getting the FAX field. It seems that the top 2 fields re what's missing - Name and Daytime Phone

Still having the tab issue. If I get that fixed, will it fix how it looks (the order) when it hits my email?

To set your tab order right click on each one (in the order you want them) and bring to front.

Thanks! That did it. Now, if I can only figure out WHY I don't get the top 2 fields on my form.....

Ok, everyone can relax now. I fixed the last problem. Turns out that the Name field was barely outside the form limits. Whew!

What do you mean you don't get them? Do you mean they are being sent along with the other fields when the form is submitted? I looked at the html of your page, I am not sure which fields you are talking about and neither will you when the email is sent. You haven't given any of your text boxes names, example for the name text box you should name it "name", day_phone, night_phone and so on. It will be easier to decifer when the form is submitted and easier to locate the problem. Also name your combo boxes with descriptive names. Good luck.
