Default Convert old form to ABVFP?

I have built several forms. Can I convert them so that they have the database and autoresponder features of ABVFP?

    Hi David,

    How are you?

So how do I go about it? Or do I have to build the form all over again?

I would re-create the forms using ABVFP..............may even be quicker than trying to convert them...

    Thanks David,

Can you look at my other post on the email form results being hard to read and give me your take on what I did wrong?

    I sure appreciate your help.

The emails from the system with the form data come to my inbox all jumbled up with multiple items/fields per line rather than one per line. Just hard to read.

You are using the embedded Form processor, so this is something that should NOT happen. So i can only suppose that this is a software issue.

Just a suggestion: re-download and reinstall BV. Then open your forms, save and publish them again.

Just a try, but might work.

    Hi Naval Design and David

I reinstalled BV and re-published the form and still the email is several form fields per line and difficult to read.

This has no logical explanation exept a glitch in your own mail client.

By mail client, do you mean my email? I get emails through VH and Hotmail and they still are jumbled. I also just uninstalled BV completely and reinstalled. No improvement.

I mean your outlook Express or whatever other mail software you are using.
I'm afraid no one can help you with this one without an inside look in your account (if the problem lies with it).

Try setting up the form with ABVFP and see if the result is the same.

Can I convert the form to ABVFP or do I need to start from scratch?

Any form can be "converted", change the form action to point to ABVFP as per ABVFP tutorial instructions. You will need a thankyou and an error page . To take advantage of ABVFP's features, you should use field name extensions (as per tutorial)
