Default Newsletter signup form?

Hi :)

I have two forms on this site
http://www.crossroadslifecoaching.net.au

The main contact form works fine.
I have a newsletter signup on each page which also works great - the only issue being that after you submit the form, it doesn't proceed to the 'success' page. It just stays on the same page.

I tried naming the newsletter success page 'newslettersuccess' but it won't bring this page up.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help with this issue.

Naydeen

This is the correct link to your success page......and it is coming up fine.....

http://www.crossroadslifecoaching.net.au/success.php

p.s. Why not think about having a paid membership program on your website.

Your clients could have their own private pages........just a thought.

Hi David

Thanks for the quick reply & test of the form!

I'm not getting that page coming up when I test it - it only comes up for me with the contact form. Back to the testing...

It's actually not my site - I'm building it for a lovely life coach lady. Your private registration pages sound intriguing - will check that out in full soon. So it's a free php script?

Thanks!

Thats right.........a FREE php membership script......but you wont need that just for your ready built, bluevoda publishable, contact pages.

Good luck with your site.

I registered for your script - and no, no good for a simple contact form lol. But good to have if I ever need it in the future for something.

Am still having no luck with the newsletter success page. If anyone else wants to test it I promise you won't be registering for the newsletter lol.

Default Re: Newsletter signup form?

I'm still having no joy with this.
http://www.crossroadslifecoaching.net.au

This is the problem:

- I have a newsletter signup form on every page
- The success page is named /newslettersuccess.php
- when you hit 'submit' the form goes to a blank space on the same page. It does not bring up the newsletter success page.

What could be wrong here? It's driving me crazy!

The contact form works without problem and is set up the same way.
Is it because the newsletter form is on every page that it's not working properly?

(If anyone tests the newsletter - it's set up to go to me and not the owner of the site. You won't be signing up for a newsletter!)

Thanks for any help.

The same form script should work on any No of pages as long as the form, the script and the success pages are in the same directory.

Go to my site here: http://mvpalma1.com/welcome/index.php

get my email address and send me your bv page as an attachment
and I will have a look at it.
If you have an "action" script/file.php send that as well..............

In the form wizard, please type the FULL URL of your success page, not only "/newslettersuccess.php" (which by the way, is wrong, should be "./newslettersuccess.php" .

Hi

Thanks for the reply

I tried typing the full URL - as I read in another post here that could work. But no success.
Also, I did have the '.' in ./newslettersuccess.php when I first tried it.

When you type the whole URL though, you don't keep the '.' in there do you?

Anyway I've put the form on its own page now - where it seems to work fine. I think putting it on every page caused some kind of conflict?

You can put the form in all pages. However, you will need, for every page, to double click the form, check the "Use Built in Form Processor" and make sure that the rest of the settings are correct. This because when copying / pasting from a page to another might result in losing some of the inner form settings.
