    Default ABVFP Initial Installation

    Howdy Howdy,

Just a quicky. Happy with installing and using this prog, bar initial installation.

If I am going to use it, mainly for add ons, do i actually initially upload / install into my top level public? or in the folder of the website i want to use it on. In my case,

    top level is e-itstudy.com

However, i want to use it mainly with gpcsystems.co.uk, so does it go in this folder or up in public?

    Gaz.

Navaldesign is not around at the moment.....be patient, and I believe that he has already answered this in his main ABVFP thread.

Probably has, but everything i could find was to do with public, ie top level site, nothing mentioned about next level down that i could find. i am only asking because it isnt working and i think i have installed it correctly.

Sorted it. And just in case anyone else is interested, it can be installed into your public_html and it will work for all add ons you have, if any. As long as during setup, you use the correct pointers for each question.

ABVFP will work, meaning that it will correctly process the form, if the action is correctly set to point to http://www.mainsite.com/ABVFP/dbts_abvfp.php .

However, the error page will NOT work, because it uses sessions, and sessions do NOT work within sites.

    Solution: Copy these two files:

dbts_abvfp.php and dbts_ABVFP_config.php FROM the ABVFP folder of the main site, INTO the folder of the addon site.

Then, change the form action to be http://www.addondomain.com/dbts_abvfp.php or even simply dbts_abvfp.php
