Thread: form trouble

i set up a contact form using the wizard supplied i also added 2 extra edit boxes

my problem is when i press send i dont get my success page or error page
and also when i check my emails i only get the data entered in my 2 added edit boxes

i have made sure the page is php

any ideas

You do not have the correct link for the send button (you have /contact.php) correct the success and error URL's within the form properties to match the names of the pages you created (they will have the html extentions)

Also the link you gave is incorrect, it has one to many forward slashes.

call me a dumbo if you want

what exactly do i need to do
change the link in the send button how do i do that when i click on his properties there is no link change only general and event options

my success and error pages now work bad spelling on my part

I double checked my form and your submit button is fine. Are you saying that you got the form to work? If so good job.

yes my submit button works and i get my success page cheers for that

the other problem is when i check my mail the information people have filled in on contact form i only get the information in the 2 edit boxes which i added

not the address block,comment block,telephone,etc

any ideas

i have everything working now cheers.
The problem was i used the form wizard to build the contact form.
Then added 2 extra edit boxes manually but the problem is you have to group them together so drag a box around the form making sure you have everthing in it.
Then go to layout in the top toolbar and click group they sould be now all in the same box.You can test it by moving the new box and everything should move with it
Another problem i had was my form area was not big enough because i added 2 extra boxes.
Make sure every part of every edit box,text box, buttons etc
is in the form area even if it just a tiny bit out of the form area it wont work.
