Thread: Success page not working

I am having trouble with my success page not working. I hit submit and I get the 404 error. I have made the success page and published it. I have tried using .php and .html for the page properties but that has not fixed the problem. View the form @:

You need to check the name of your form that there are no blank spaces between the names and either put the full url of your success page
or simply success.html

I don't have any spaces or anything like that. Everything is set up for the success page to be a html although the form page is a php. Does this make any difference. The success url is www.gowestins.com/success.html and I have published the success page to the web and you can pull it up fine but the form page, when you hit submit, does not connect to the success page. Need help. I have watched the tutorials a few times and it is not helping.

The form is @ www.gowestins.com/quote.php or the other form is @
www.gowestins.com/contact_us.php both operate off the same success page.

have you checked the form as I mentioned paying attention to the full url or the short form of the success page.

I have a free contact form which works time after time, so you must be making a simple mistake somewhere.

just use success.html without the ./

Doest the form name matter? I had that named form1 which is the default name for the form. Also, does it matter that I have two pages that use the same success page? If I need to rename my form would I name it success.html?

The success page is simply a page which the submit button takes your visitor to.
the form name can be anything as long as it does not have any whites spaces, between or at the end of the name.

Your form is not even validated yet so you are going to get blank emails.

Figured it out finally. Thanks. I had my form success url with the whole url in there no just success.html.

Now, my emails where coming in yesterday even thought the success page did not work. Now the emails don't come in so what have I done to that.

You said that my form had not been validated? How do I do that then? You are right, they are not going to my email. It does take you to the success page but no email in my account. I was at least getting the emails yesterday but not now so I must have messed something up.
