I am new here.
i want to add a submit button so that i can collect information from the user.
At the same time, i want the submit button to direct the user to another page.
can that be done

Yes you use 'forms' to acheive this.

Visitor fills in there data, when they click submit, they are taken to a success page, which you design to incude the content you want and you are also sent an email with the data that was entered.
