It has been ages since I re-edited the forms and tested them by submitting to me. For some strange reason they are being submitted to my spam folder instead of the inbox. Is there a reason why and how do I make them appear in my inbox?

It is your antivirus or internet security tool.
Just highlight your form email and select "Not Spam" and send.
