Thread: PHP Contact page no longer working

I built my sight a year ago and everything has been working well. However last week I noticed I no longer get messages from the "Contact Us" page. I did not dabble with it or change a thing. Theemail address is the same, everything. I tried going into the form page and changing the email address, but the info is still not showing. I test the page by opening my browser and submitting a message to myself, but I get no email. Its worked fine since I built the site. Can anyone tell me whats going on? My customers messages have stopped reaching me!

Did you check your webmail for any message mails from the server ?

Usually the server sends back automated emails if something goes wrong.

Also, are you using an in-domain email address for the contact form ?

Looking back, my emails did stop being sent around the day they changed the server, but I have republished and saved all of my pages on the new server, and it's still not working.

The contact us page is directed to my gmail account. I hope this helps. Also, do you know how can I retrieve any old emails I have missed? Thanks for your help.

Pls change the form email address to an in-domain one and check if youreceive emails in your control panel webmail.

Mails that have failed will probably be found there as server messages, unless these emails did not fail but were simply blocked by GMail, in which case, if they are not in your Gmail spam folder, there is nothing to do.

I googled the term in-domain email address, and this posting showed only. What is an "In-Domain email address"? My PHP page has always pointed to my email...myemail@mydomain.com. It worked for the last year and nothing has been changed.

There is no email in my Cpanel. It appears to be blank.

It simpèly means an email address within your own domain.
Do NOT use your gmail address.
This will show if the mail is sent or not. If yes, then it is Google blocking your mails for some reason, either placing them in the spam folder or completely blocking them.

I found some email error messages through my cpanel. This is what it is saying:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

mymail@mymail.com

No Such User Here

Yes, I do have it set up directing to my in domain email address. And as far as I can tell, the email account is set up in Cpanel. This all started when Vodahost changed servers. Was there something I needed to do after changing of the servers? I left my email exactly how it was and my PHP page. Thanks

I have the same problem. When trying to send the form submitted mail to an in-domain mail account I get an error message. When the mail is sent to a different mail account, not in-domain, I do get the email. What is the problem here?

I dont even get email when I check my Cpanel. Once again, this all started when I was notified of the server switch from vodahost. everything was working fine until then, but now I cant get an answer even on this forum. Great customer service.

Can you receive mails sent through Outlook (or other email clients) to THAT email address ?

Your form seems working fine. I suppose that you are using the built in form processor. Check your spam folder to see if the mail ends in there. If you are using an in-domain email address, also check in your Webmail as some ISPs have severe filters that may block the mail from being downloaded in your PC.

I do recieve it on the current email adress, but when using an in-domain email adress I get an error message in the webmail.

Can you send normal emails from your in-domain email address ? Do you receive them also ?
