Help with emal collecting form

Ok I am a real new at this stuff. Never been on a chat forum. Here I go. I created a form to gather email and name from my clients. I used script that pablo posted. I use Dreamweaver. The form seems to work when I am using Safari. When I try with Firefox or Netscape the email sent to me is blank. Also when the client is directed to the thank you page welcome.php it seems like it just keeps sending me info over and over as long as I stay on that page. The website is billygorilly.com

Ok first of all - Your site is FAB!!! JUST LOVE IT.

Now for your e-mail issue...I didnt see a contact form .. just an e-mail contact on the contact page. When I click on contact@billygorrilly.com it takes me to a IE mailbox. This can be annoying for most. You probably could set up a simple form for your visitors and as BV member you get form maker pro (in the Treasure Chest section of the Forum) and use it to create a simple contact form. If I'm correct it does all for you. I id mine before this handy tool.

I sent you a test e-mail. check and see if you got it.

begud2, Thanks for checking out the site and for the complement. The form I am talking about is on the home page left side. This is where I am trying to collect emails for a list. Not the Email contact page. I know that I can make that page better with forms but it gets the job done at this time.. It just takes so much time figuring things out and not making the website go down. I just noticed the form builder pro. I will definately check it out. By the way I did get your email.

Yikes...how'd I miss that and me with my morning coffee well on it's way to the brain....anyhoo...I went backand signed up for the newsletter and it worked and I was taken to the 'welcome' page. Maybe it should b a 'thank you for joining page and please continue to browse the site' page....along with the rest you have about neve seling names....just aan afterthought.

You are correct on the wording on the welcome page, thanks for input. I have not finished with the wording. I first wanted to get the form to work. I recieved an email I think from you that should have your info but it is blank. No info from the visitor. The only browser that sent correctly for me was safari. I am an Apple computer user. Also do you know if form builder pro works with Mac computers? BV web builder didn't last time I checked.

PS
I recieved several blank emails. I think it keeps sending every second as long as you are on the thank you (welcome) page.

Hmmm..I used netscape to send....that is soooo strange. HAve you submitted a support ticket to the support staff...they can probably go in and take a look and help you out.

Also check out ANDY128 's page on creatinga na email contact form ...it maight help a little... here is the url - PHP Mailto form script & Field validation script

Let me know if that helps...but hopefully someone with more know how can aid you in this.
