.mov converter

I am thinking this may be the right place to ask this question, so here goes.

I am wondering, if anyone knows of a free, or even a free trial of a converter that would convert a .mov video into a wmv, one that I could edit with windows movie maker as it does not take the .mov format or another format ... I just need one video edited from a clip of last nights action and anything I am finding, leaves the free trial message right across the screen ...

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the link so that I can get this taken care of to post on the site. It's a fight clip and I need to edit the sound and take a bit more off the end, it's a little too large ....

Personaly, I don't know a free coverter from .mov, quick time files are not that easy to convert, one thing I can tell ya, there is a trial version of Adobe after effects and Adobe Premiere pro that you can download from adobe.com, they are a bit to technical these softwares, and the trial is for 30 days, that gives you a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnngg time to learn, you can always ask me questions about how to do stuff, I'll always answer, well, that will give you some stuff on videos as well, you can even add some text and special effects to your video. but if you don't have time or you are not that patient, you can always allow me to download your video and I'll do it for you.

Thanks Jim & Nite .... I've got it all sorted, I'm using avs converter and it's doing an okay job for me, appreciate it ..... great to know I can ask you questions Nite ... I will do that ...
